RiN! Studio × King Jim: A Kitta Surprise For You
If you journal, plan, or scrapbook, this collaboration is for you.
We've been quietly working on something for months, and it's finally here: RiN! Studio × King Jim Kitta — a limited-edition collection of clear stamps and pre-cut washi tape strips that brings together two stationery worlds we love.
What is King Jim Kitta?
King Jim is a Japanese stationery company founded in 1927, known for some of the most beloved planning and journaling tools in the world. Their Kitta series reimagines washi tape: instead of rolls, Kitta comes as individual pre-cut strips packed into a slim, pocket-sized booklet. No scissors, no mess — peel and stick.
Kitta has been a cult favorite in the journaling community for years. For us, bringing our original kawaii illustrations to the Kitta format feels like a small dream realized.
Three Drops, One Surprise
The collaboration includes three products — each one designed in-house at our Shanghai studio, then produced in partnership with King Jim. Here's everything that just hit the shop:
1. King Jim × RiN! Studio Kitta Washi Tape Booklet — $7.99

Original RiN! Studio artwork in the iconic Kitta pocket booklet format. Each strip is pre-cut and ready to peel — perfect for journaling on the go, snail mail, or layering into a planner spread without reaching for scissors.
Choose from four designs:
- Hanabi — fireworks-inspired, made for summer journal pages
- The Art — RiN!'s signature illustrated characters in motion
- Flower — soft pastel florals (almost sold out — 1 left as of writing)
- Pattern — playful geometric prints (also down to 1)

2. King Jim × RiN! Studio Kitta Clear Stamps — Large Set — $8.99

Clear acrylic block stamps in the food-loving Yummy series. Each stamp is 1.8 × 1.8 cm — small enough to fit in a pencil case, detailed enough to read instantly. The crystal-clear acrylic lets you see exactly where you're stamping, so placement is always perfect.
Three designs in this set:
- Yummy — for food diary entries and meal planning
- Bubble Tea — because every boba run deserves a stamp
- Cooking — perfect for recipe journaling
3. King Jim × RiN! Studio Kitta Clear Stamps — Small Set — $7.99

Same clear acrylic design language, this time in a breakfast theme. The 1.8 × 1.8 cm format is identical to the large set — they pair perfectly together if you want a complete food-diary toolkit.
Three designs in this set:
- Breakfast — for tracking morning routines and bullet journal habit trackers
- Pancake — a tiny moment of joy
- Rice Ball — onigiri vibes for your weekly spread
How We Recommend Using Them Together
The collaboration is designed to play together. Here are a few combinations our team is loving:
- Weekly food diary: Stamp Breakfast in the morning row of your spread, Yummy or Cooking for lunch and dinner, then frame the page with Kitta Hanabi strips along the edges.
- Snail mail to a friend: Pop a Kitta Pattern strip across the envelope, Bubble Tea stamp on the flap.
- Recipe journal: Cooking stamp at the top of each recipe page, Kitta The Art strips between sections.
- Daily planner habit tracker: A column of tiny Pancake or Rice Ball stamps for "ate breakfast" rows.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the King Jim Kitta format?
Kitta is a pre-cut washi tape format developed by King Jim. Instead of a traditional roll, each Kitta tape is cut into individual strips and packed into a slim pocket-sized booklet, so you can peel and stick without scissors. The format is loved by journalers because it travels easily and never gets dirty edges.
What sizes are the King Jim × RiN! Studio stamps?
Each stamp measures 1.8 × 1.8 cm. They use crystal-clear acrylic blocks so you can see exactly where you're stamping, with photopolymer-grade rubber for crisp, clean impressions on paper and most fabrics.
Is this collaboration limited edition?
Yes — these three products are limited-edition drops. Once they sell out, we don't have plans to restock in the same configuration. The washi tape booklet's Flower and Pattern designs are already down to single-digit stock as of publishing.
Where do RiN! Studio × King Jim Kitta products ship from?
Production happens in collaboration with King Jim Japan, and final orders ship from our US fulfillment center. Most US orders arrive in 7-10 business days. Free shipping kicks in at $35.
Are RiN! Studio washi tape and stamps safe for archival journaling?
Our washi tape is low-tack, repositionable, and does not damage paper. The Kitta strips use the same archival-friendly properties as the standard King Jim Kitta line. The clear stamps use food-safe photopolymer rubber and stamp cleanly on most paper, fabric, and craft surfaces.
